If you are running a charity event at your surgery, want to get involved or would like to recommend a future charity for us to support, please just get in touch with our Charities Manager Ella, [email protected].

October 2019

This October we are supporting the Motor Neurone Disease Association. MND affects up to 5,000 adults in the UK at any one time. It occurs when messages from the motor neurones gradually stop reaching the muscles. This leads the muscles to weaken, stiffen and waste affecting how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe.

MNDA provide lots of services for people experiencing MND including; a Connect helpline, a Communication aids service and various care centres and community services across the country.

We are supporting Katie Dowson who recently ran the London Marathon and will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon this October, supporting MNDA in memory of her dad who sadly passed away from the disease last year. If you’d like to support Katie, you can visit her fundraising page here.
